My question is that on this frigidaire french door refrigerator the icemaker in the refrigerator part the thermister attached to the icemaker underneath is reaped off by the ice when the auger is activated as far as i can see. Is there a way to reduce the production of ice on this unit, or is there another type of icemaker to replace the flextray? I have done two so far with this problem, this time the fridge is giving a sy cf error code the icemaker has the thermister torn and this error code calls for replacing the control board and the U/I but i saw where if by replacing the icemaker first the errior code might go away and not have to replace the boards?
I am going to replace the icemaker then disonnect the two connections down at the board and only leave the three wires on and see if the code goes away also i am going to check for continuity on wires from U/I to the board

Hi. From what I see there is not a replacement icemaker for this unit. It will be the same flex icemaker you will have to install to get the sensor repaired. The arm is what reads the ice level in the bin and there is no way to a just that arm. It is possible that your error code is from the missing sensor. See if the error code comes back after the new ice maker is installed. If so I have always found the main control board to be the issue and not the user interface or harness, but all are possible with that error.
