The heat guard fell off the back of the drum. I checked the continuity on the dryer element and got continuity. I reattached the heat guard and put it all back together. Not the dryer gets warm, but does not dry the clothes. My assistant said that the heating coil doesn’t get red hot. Only a slight pink / red color.
When I checked for continuity, I set the meter for sound. I got a beep. Is it possible to get a beeping sound and the heating element bad? Or, what else could be the problem?
Also, I can’t figure out HOW the heat shield just fell off WITHOUT the tenants knowing about it? Where did the 3 screws go, that holds it onto the drum?
Thank you

Hello
It sounds like your healing element is grounded and touching the the inner casing. Someone removed the three screws, they do not come out on their own. If you have 220 to the element , replace the element. Matt Ace technician

Thank you Matt. I am a very suspicious and untrusting person by nature. You validated my thoughts. Much appreciated

Hello Matt I replaced the heating element. Checked current, everything looked good. That was on Tuesday. The tenant just called me and said that the dryer is still not drying properly. Any ideas ?
