This dryer does not heat, plus in any cycle it will shut down after 2 minutes of running. The heater is bad, but not sure if the other problem is the most likely cause of the motor, or if it is the board. Any ideas?

It cuts off at 38 mins on time dry. Is that on a 40 min time dry cycle? That is tough with it not pulling up any error codes. I wouldn’t think the motor at this point since it does chime, like it is done with the cycle. I would check your thermistor. I also, think that the heat element could be causing this as well. Especially if this issue was not happening prior to the element going out. Try running the dryer on a cycle with no heat and see if it still cuts off after 2 mins. Possibly a control board issue. Attached are our Samsung dryer repair videos. They may help you as well.

The thermal cut off on the heater was bad as well. When I changed it, the problem seemed to be resolved.

Hi. Did you try a timed dry cycle to see if it will run longer? The bad heat element could be the cause of this. On the sensor dry cycles with out any clothes in the unit it will recognize this or that its not heating and shut down after a short time. Have you put the new element in and tried it yet? You can also run it through diagnostic mode and see if there are any error codes. I have attached a link to the tech sheet for you and a link for the element repair video.

The dryer will end the cycle at 38 min left in time dry. It chimes like the dryer has finished drying but there is no heat. I can’t get it to pull up any codes as well. Any suggestions?
