What are the reasons the capacitor keeps blowing? And how do you test them? The motor runs, the agitator moves freely and so does the drum. The drain pump is clear.
Replacing the capacitor. Testing the motor, inspecting the coupler and the drain pump.

Hi,
It’s not a common thing to keep taking out the capacitor on these. I have seen faulty motors take them out. Possibly a bad timer could take it out as well or a short to ground, or improper voltage. The part number for the capacitor is WP8572717. Most meters should hand a microfarad setting to test capacitors. uf stands for microfarad and the capacitors will have the microfarad rating stamped on them. For example 50uf. So you would test to see if the capacitor is reading out at the proper microfarad rating.

Old cap was at 49 but had no writing on it. new cap is at 198 which is normal.
