I have a Maytag dishwasher that has a red “lock” indicator light that goes on every time i try to set the cycle.

To remove the control lock, you should just need to press and hold the SANITIZE button for 5 seconds on your control panel. If that doesn’t work, flip the circuit breaker off to the dishwasher on your house for 5 minutes and try again. If you still have problems and it won’t remove, the control board inside your door has failed and would need to be replaced so if it’s less than a year old, call warranty and they will replace it at no charge.
