On this Kenmore Elite range the RF burner stays on at all times. From what I can see the controller is what controls this function (316576311) . Can you verify, and also tell me if there are any other potential causes.

HI. It actually looks like there is a separate control board for the cook top. p # 316442119. This part is in the body section of the parts break down. The relay on this control could be stuck closed causing your issue. Other possibilities would be that the element or wiring are shorted in some way causing this. You can test all of this to find out where the issue is.
