Blower motor stopped working, even setting control at thermostat(digital) to run wouldn’t start. I manually rotated fan motor by turning fins in squirrel cage to check if motor had seized, rotated freely . turned furnace back on and fan motor operated flawlessly for about 20 hours then failed again. turned blower by hand again and restarted and ran flawlessly again. Is my problem a capacitor or a dead spot in my blower motor?

Grant, if you have a weak run capacitor on the motor it will cause this issue. You could also have have a defective winding in the motor that is overheating and shutting of on the internal overload.I would start with the capacitor since it is very inexpensive. Matt Ace technician
