This model is 14 years and does not have the temperature control that causes the same symptons. It does have a small circuit board to control the temperature but when I unplug it it still does the same . If I run it on second rinse it does not spray and soak the clothes.
I unplugged the board and it did exactly the same. I tested the temperature control switching and it is OK. I tested the Switch #12 the yellow and red and the pink contact in the timer and it is fine. The water level control contacts are normal. I t has me stumped. Could it still be the timer? The washer fill OK if you wait it out while it fills and agitates. IT is not the fill valve.

Hello
This is a common problem with the older Kenmore washers. The timer is engageing the spray cycle constantly. Replace the timer to correct your problem. Matt Ace technician
