So originally if compressor is The Refrigerator in the freezer were extremely extremely hot and they both were not working properly I cleaned out the condenser coils and I’ve recommended that they shut the machine off for some period of time to cool the compressor is off they have done that.
Now after doing that the refrigerator compressor is working fine however the freezer section is only Cooling as if it is a refrigerator also they have mentioned that the compressor is making noise I do see that someone has replaced the start relay on the compressor with a 3in1 before I go back there I would like to know what the temperature the high and the low and how to check it on the compressor should be and how to refill it with Freon if it needs

Hello
I am working on a Subzero two drawer unit that is not cooling. Do you have any information on diagnostics ?
Thanks

You can see when we close the door, the door seal gets sucked in like a vapor lock . Its takes a 220 lb. strong guy to get the door open it seals that tight. The homeowner cannot open their refrigerator.

I received a call today. Homeowner has a sub zero, freezer had salmon in it, unit was turned off for construction and fish thawed. Now the unit (per the home owner) smells like rotten / spoiled salmon. Calling me asking how to clean it or get rid of the smell.
Any thoughts. Besides cleaning with Bleach, vinegar and water, baking soda, ? I am sure I am his last call. What would keep the smell?

Have a water inlet valve with a electronic sensor added on the valve. My inquiry is how this works with the
Main logic board.

Customer states this unit is down to 17 degrees below zero and stuff is frozen rock hard. This is a freezer only unit. States it does not change temperature when adjusted warmer. Just stays at -17 degrees. Serial number is . I don’t normally work on Subzero. Any suggestions on what I should be checking will be welcome. Thank you

I need some advice from our subzero experts.
Complaint: Not Making Ice.
We found the unit with the icemaker arm bent around from the bucket being pushed back on the arm.
We replaced the icemaker and as the water level was low and it is in a rental home we removed the filter and installed a factory by pass plug.
I started the unit in Max Ice. The icemaker cycled around twice and filled to the correct water level. We thought all was good and stopped to double check it the next day, No Ice.
I checked everything over again, drawer switch etc. ok.
After posting on psanet we replaced the complete water valve w/flow sensor. I opened the valve sensor and found it had droppings in it. We thought we were ok.
I started the icemaker again on Max ice and stopped to check it again 2 days later. Still No Ice.
The wiring seems good . Power to the flow sensor comes from the Low Voltage Board and Power to the icemaker comes from the high voltage board.
Factory tech line doesn’t think it is a board.
Any advice would really be appreciated.
Thanks in advance.

I have a tech working on a Sub Zero refrigerator that the drain line keeps clogging. He called Sub Zero tech line and they recommended a part # 4202530. Another company said it needed a heating element, but the photo shows no heater. Can anyone that has installed this item explain to my tech how to install it?

Thank you all for your help.

We could really use some help on this unit. The icemaker is not working.
We can start the icemaker, it will cycle and fill. we leave it on MAX ICE. After a day it will dump 3 cubes. We have replaced the icemaker and removed the water filter and installed a bypass plug.
What are we missing?
Thanks in advance.

We’re on a subzero that I need part information on. Specifically the heat exchanger and fresh food evaporator. Do you guys stock these parts? Can I get them from you?

We nee your suggestion regarding repair of Subzero,mod.#650/F,
,freezer on the bottom,17 years old.
The problem is the drain hose broke off in the fresh food section
by the wall and we are not sure how can we replace a hose without removing
the whole unit from the cabinet .We are going to install a drain heater (add-on),but it’s pretty simple.
If someone has experience how to replace this hose without removing a fridge,
please let me know
Thank you in advance

I have a 2 drawer Subzero ref that will run for about 3 seconds and shut off. If I plug in with
top drawer unplugged unit will run and stay running until you plug the cable back in. All three
thermistors are good, evaporator was changed a year or so back and has a good frost
pattern currently. Touch pad checks good. No visible bad spots on either board.
So does anybody have any input on which of the two expensive boards is bad?

This sub-zero ice maker is only making a handful of cubes. It’s been not working correctly for a long time. The unit that’s in there is a 4317943 & I’ll be replacing it with the same. But the customer was asking if there was an OEM sub-zero ice maker that should be in there in it’s place? I didn’t think so but wanted to double check with you guys.

Already have replaced the fresh food evaporator and filter drier, and customer states they are still having cooling issues. I don’t run into many of these and have spent quite a bit of time there, was hoping someone here might have a clue.

This unit is in an unheated garage, seems to run constantly. Have checked major components and they seem fine, I must be missing something?

There is a huge ball of ice engulfing the evaporator in the back of the unit, what would cause this to happen?

I have a model 3151 ice machine which had a bad cube size control. The new control looks different in its terminal designation, and the darn part came with NO notes on how to adapt to the new control. The old one had a 1, 2 & 3 terminal marking. The new one has 4, 5 & 6. Have no idea where to place the wires properly..anyone else been here?

My fridge isn’t cooling. The evaporator is only frosted on about the top 1″ of the evaporator. I’m aware that the evaporators are notorious for leaking. How do I locate the leak? Will a leak that small show up with a bubble type solution, or do I use a sniffer?
When it comes time to evacuate the system, I have manifold gauges, but they’re set up for automotive R134a. What are the correct fittings for the R12 system? It looks like 1/4″ flare, but I can’t tell for sure. In the automotive world the low and High side have different size fittings, but on the fridge they look to be the same.

Thanks,
Don
