THANKS BRIAN. I WOULD GUESS THAT THE PRESSURE HOSE IS DIRTY OR THE P SWITCH IS BAD, OR OUT OF CALIBRATION. WHAT ARE YOUR THOUGHTS, AND DO YOU EVER TURN THE ADJUSTMENT SCREW ON THE P SWITCH TO INCREASE WATER LEVEL?

HI BRIAN. I JUST LOOKED AT THE WASHER. THE UNIT WOULD START TO FILL, THEN STOP. AT THIS POINT I THINK I HEARD THE PUMP ENGAGE, THEN IT CONTINUED TO FILL.WHEN IT DID STOP FILLING IT WAS NOT UP TO THE PROPER LEVEL. I DRAINED DOWN AND STARTED OVER WITH THE TUBE TO THE PRESSURE SWITCH REMOVED. IT FILLED WITH OUT STOPPING AND STARTING. I DID BLOW THROUGH THE HOSE AND IT SEEMED FINE. I ALSO PUT A CONTINUITY METER ON THE P SWITCH AND DID NOT GET A TONE IN ANY DIRECTION, EVEN WHEN BLOWING IN. I DO NOT KNOW WHAT TO DO. PLEASE HELP, THANKS, TODD
  • You may not get an audible tone on the pressure switch contacts because they may be higher ohms. Check for resistance and see how many ohms you get. Even before I would do that though, I would put the unit into diagnostic mode and check the error codes. The manual shows how to do this on starting on page 81. This machine can be difficult to enter the diagnostic mode on. Be patient and look at the instructions carefully. When you first let the machine fill with water did it eventually start agitating a fill to the proper level?

GOOD MORNING BRIAN. THE FIRST FILL DID START TO AGITATE BUT THE WATER LEVEL WAS VERY LOW. THE LOAD WAS SET AT EXTRA LARGE.
  • That is strange that the drain pump came on during the fill also. Sounds like a pressure switch or control issue. Check those error codes. If you have not yet, unplug the unit for 10 mins to reset it and see if the water level changes back to normal.

HI BRIAN. IT IS SHOWING THE CODE FOR OVER FLOW. I SHUT IT DOWN FOR TEN MINUTES AND IT STAYED HE SAME.
  • Ok. That does sound like a pressure switch issue.
