Hi Brian….i got a new board..installed it….it lights up and beeps a couple of times but the washer does not start and fill etc….??? please tell me theres a reset function i am missing!!
  • There is no reset button or anything you should have to do after you installed the board. Check your connections and leave the unit unplugged for 15 mins to reset it and see what happens. Make sure your start button is aligned correctly so that when you push it , the switch engages. Let me know.

it seems as if it isnt responding properly…..i kept pushing the start button and it started filling the tub but didnt stop when i opened the lid???? it worked once to drain the water but wouldnt work the next time…..just weird……im sure i put all the wires back properly..even the jumper thingy went back the same way……baffled…please help!!!
  • That seems odd. Did you try resetting it and checking that start button? Some washers will continue to fill with water when the lid is opened but will stop if opened during agitation or spin.

i did try resetting it…..the lights lite up, but the machine does not start a cycle???? it only started to fill with water one time…..i try to run the drain and spin cycle…once it started to drain water but never spun…..very frustrating as you can imagine

when i plug it in..and turn it to a cycle….the fill light as well as the wash, spin, rinse lights lite up…..then when i push the start button the lights go out and the fill light blinks after 2 beeps…..
  • In the spin cycle these washers may take several minutes of draining before it will advance and spin. Lets try putting this in to service diagnostic mode. Follow the the steps on page 21 of the tech sheet. I attached the link for the tech sheet previously.

this machine does not have a LED read out…..???
  • The status read out is just referring to your soak, wash, rinse, and spin LED lights. Look on page 22. It shows you which LED lights will be lit according to what part of test you are in.

it seems that certain sequences of things could reset the machine…but i dont know what they are or how to do them and the manual does not have the model number of my machine for me to even try something??
  • you entered the diagnostic mode. When you rotated the knob and different lights would stay lit, the washer was going through the different tests. Nothing happened when you did this? Water start filling? Agitating, drain or spin? If nothing happened in diagnostic mode either you may have another control board issue. I saw your model number listed of the very first page of this tech sheet. They only difference was the last digit. There is a tech sheet located in the unit. It usually is located in the control board area on the back panel. A folded up piece of paper.
  • I would check your lid switch first. Looks like it will be pin 5 and pin 6 of the 6 wire connector of the inverter board. Red/black and orange wires. This is the control board that sits on the motor. Unplug this connector and put your meter leads on these two wires. Then with your meter on continuity or ohms setting, open and close the lid. you should get a reading with the lid closed and nothing with it open.

got the front off the machine…..dont see a board on or near the motor?? how do i go about checking the motor??..nothing happens when it is in the “diagnostic” mode??
  • I posted a new answer on here about the same time as your last reply. Just wanted to make sure you saw it. Also, I do not believe we have an issue with the motor at this point since we can not get the unit to even fill. Sounds like lid switch or possible pressure switch.

i did see the video post….is that the way to test the lid switch?? by stripping part of the wires?? what ohm setting do i use?? and….when i try to start a wash cycle…i hit the start button and hear 2 beeps then the fill light just flashes…..would this be a symptom of a bad lid switch??

hey Brian…..is there a way for me to bypass the switch to see if it is indeed the switch?? can i snip and jump the wires somehow?? just asking..lol if i strip part of the wires and put an alligator clip on?? i can change the switch if needed but its been a while since its worked and i need to wash clothes..lol
  • Yes. You would just cut he wires to the lid switch and wire nut them together
