The cycle time is not normal, it is running for a total of 5-8 mins before completely stopping, unlocking door and the remaining time on clock flashing, the time on the clock showing 1:13 left, when set to heavy which is supposed to be a 1:15 cycle. As for the drain process, it is not a slow drain, the tub completely empties out in under a minute, can hear the water going down drain as well as seeing the hose moving as the water goes through it, and then that sound stops, pump runs on as described but you can hear and see that there is not enough water left in the tub to be pumped up through the drain hose. Additionally, have removed drain hose from pump completely removed from machine, and blown through it, ran water through it, it is completely clear also disassembled pump to inspect it for blockage and found nothing.
  • Please be sure to check the pressure switch hose (part # WH41X10241). It is common for the hose to have bacteria/mold residue build up . (only needs a minor restriction to cause problems). The pressure switch hose also may have a very small and hardly detectable crack or pin hole causing air leakage. Also please look at very top of tub There is an “air hose” there. This dispenser vent hose may get caked with detergent residue which will need to be cleared. Either of these conditions can cause what you are describing and would be your next step to take. You may also be experiencing an “out of balance mode” . Please see pages 15 & 16 in the service manual we previously attached. Also, unless removed there should be a very helpful mini service manual in a plastic envelope taped on the top of the dispenser that will give you many testing procedures and technical details.

I put the unit into diagnostic mode and got an error on how the main PCB is not Communicating with the sub PCB. I am looking for the part and find the control panel that I have already replaced and the “Inverter assembly” I am assuming the inverter assembly is the the main PCB? Thank you very much!
  • Excellent, glad you have a clear resolution to fix the unit.

So, unfortunately replacing the main board has netted the same results, exact same symptoms. Do you think there is any possibility a faulty door lock could cause this?
  • The inverter is p# WH12X10448.

Yes, I know part number, purchased and installed.
  • Ok. Then was it the main board you have not installed? It looks like the main board must be p# WH12X10443. There is also the control panel/ user interface board as well that could be causing the error. Was the communication error the only error code stored?

So, thanks for help on this, had actually replaced both the user interface board that they refer to as the sub, as well as the main or inverter control board that is mounted on the floor in the back. Some of these units had a third board mounted up top and close to the user interface, this model did not. And no, no other codes showed up as I ran diagnostics more than once, and so it was pretty frustrating in desperation I was going through the machine checking every single item and found that the hot water valve had failed and was not throwing a code! Changed it out and the machine is all good.
  • Good to hear! Glad you got it figured out.
