I plugged in the ice fan motor, evap motor, and the sensor in the provided connectors to the right. In the left the defrost heater and sensors are connected. All that I get, but wrapped around the ice fan motor is a 120v connector. 1 yellow plug and 1 white. The part number on this particular part is MEE40206324 but I can’t find it anywhere. There just wasn’t anywhere to plug it, so I removed it. I wish I could get you a picture, to make sure we are talking about the same part.
  • I do not see anywhere on the diagram or the part that shows a heater. It may be an add on heater. I had three technicians look at this and the original part #AEB73785615 , it does not show a heater. Are you sure there was not add on instructions in the kit to show where the heater is wired ? If there was not instructions, I would call the PDA where where you purchased it and ask them to look in an unopened box for wiring instructions.

file:///C:/Users/Eddie/Downloads/grille.jpg See if you can open this file and look at the blue wire coming from the grille. It wraps around the ice fan motor.

    copy and paste the link
  • That blue wiring harness will be a thermistor which will plug into the back wall of the freezer when the cover is installed. There should be a spot for it but if not, it would have the same sensor in a different location and would not need to be plugged in. I cannot open up that link you sent over . Did you call your parts distributor to make sure is the correct part ? If it is the correct part , it should have instructions to wire the new heater in the parts box. I went to the parts breakdown on the grill #AEB73785615 , I looked at every part separably and there is nothing that shows a heater.

Copy and paste above link to view part I removed. I also contacted vendor and they said none of the grilles have any instructions, so I’m completely lost on this part.
  • I could not open the file. I looked up the part and came up with the same part number as you listed. I would look at the part number listed on the old part itself if it has one. I have been running into bad part look ups with LG and Samsung. I have needed to get the part number off the old part to get rhe correct one.
