Personal blenders have really taken off in terms of popularity. The most famous of them all is the Nutribullet, and while there are a few close contenders, none of the cheaper alternatives really get smoothies as smooth as a Nutribullet does.
But while you may have your breakfast meal nailed, have you ever thought of using your blender to make pasta sauce? It's as simple as making a smoothie. Simply take whatever vegetables you have to hand, chop roughly and place in the blender and add tinned tomatoes, tomato juice, plus seasonings, then blend. When your pasta is ready, drain and add the sauce. Heat for several minutes and serve. Nothing could be simpler or healthier.
Here's a simple favorite:
one carrrot
one large handful of fresh basil leaves
one bell pepper
one small handful of spinach
a dash of olive oil
a pinch of black pepper
Blend together.
