It seems as though, no matter what you do, refrigerator shelves always get messy with goo, last night’s meal, spills, dust and debris. Ick. While you can use the baking soda and vinegar cleaning regime, it still takes a ton of time to remove all of your food items and wipe down the shelves—depending on your fridge cleanliness, this endeavor takes a weekend day to do to say the least! Instead of staring at the goopy, sticky mess in your refrigerator, why not make your cleaning process easier and more efficient? How do you do this? Using placemats of course. Those hard, plastic (see through-ish) placemats that you can find pretty much anywhere are perfect, affordable and make for a stylish refrigerator. You can line your refrigerator’s shelves with placemats, or use them for your side door coasters and bins. If you do decide to use placemats in your side door, you will need to do some modifying aka using the scissors. You can use tracing paper to create your stencil and cut your placemat accordingly; or, you can place your see-through placemats on top of your refrigerator coasters, trace them and then cut the mats. The next time you have a mess, it makes cleaning a breeze. Just remove your food items, wipe down the mat, and you have a stylish and clean refrigerator.
