A slow cooker is one of the best kitchen appliances that every kitchen must have. With a slow cooker, you can dump the ingredients, set the timer and start to work. You will be welcomed by warm and aromatic food in your slow cooker. To reduce the time spent in the morning to complete prep work for dinner, follow these hacks:
- If you won't have time in the morning to prepare the ingredients for the slow cooker dinner, use the time you have in the previous night. Load the slow cooker with all the ingredients and refrigerate everything with the cooker. In the morning, bring the slow cooker to room temperature and simply set the timer.
- Always try to use the low setting in your slow cooker as much as possible. Unless you are pressed for time, don’t use the high setting which will consume more power.
- You should always fill your slow cooker up to two-thirds or less for optimal cooking. Overloading the insert of your slow cooker will only lead to messy food, and longer cook times.
