Preserve Avocados in Your Freezer with a Little Lemon Juice

Avocados are tasty. You can slice ‘em up and put them on a sandwich, or make some killer guacamole. This fruit tends to be on the pricey side and when it does go on sale, you may be hesitant to grab them up since it’s difficult to keep them from going bad (let alone gobbling it up in a timely fashion). While it may not be an obvious solution, you can freeze your avocados up to one full year. Think of your possibilities. The blog, Eating Richly, recommends mashing up your plethora of avocados, mixing in a little lemon juice, placing them in a bag, and freezing to preserve them. It’s really that easy. Why didn’t any of us think of this before?? It doesn’t take much work to ensure you make use of your avocados you just got on sale. Plus, you’re decreasing your food waste, and can have fresh avocados any time of the year.  As you’d expect, you will first want to peel and remove the pits from the fruit, mash them up while mixing in some lemon juice, scoop your avocado mush into a gallon-sized plastic bag, and pop it in the freezer. It’s a convenient way that doesn’t take too much effort while taking advantage of that next avocado sale. Yum. Hit the link below for full guide from Eating Richly
