Make Filthy Oven Knobs Shine with Vinegar

From grease and grime, to spaghetti sauce spills and cookie dough fingers, your oven knobs need a makeover. There’s a simple way to use some good ole vinegar to do the trick, and Anna Moseley, blogger of Ask Anna, shows us exactly how to do so. Basically, pull off the oven knobs and place them in a dish of white distilled vinegar. While they’re soaking, go ahead and spray vinegar onto the front of your oven where the knobs go, and allow it to sit for a recommended 30 seconds—though, you can leave it on longer if necessary. If you find your oven is tough to clean, Anna suggests scattering a little bit of baking soda on top of the vinegar to cut through the grease. Then, wipe down the front of your stove with a damp sponge or soft cloth. Next, scrub your oven knobs until they’re sparkly clean and allow them to dry completely. Afterwards, you’re good to go to place the knobs back onto your oven. The results speak for themselves! This whole shindig should only take you about 5 minutes or so, which isn’t too bad at all.
