Many of us have kitchen appliances in our home that are functioning properly, but they look old??especially when it comes to mixers. Replacement may not be an option because of cost, but applying a DIY approach can work for you??such as repainting it. To repaint your mixer so as to give it a new color that matches with other appliances is a great way to cut down on costs and give your kitchen appliance the revamp it needs. You may just need to buy rags, epoxy spray paint, and an enamel gloss (which is a protective spray) and a screwdriver among other handy tools that may be needed depending on your mixer. Of course, make sure your mixer is unplugged, and then disassemble it. Make sure to cover areas the new paint is not supposed to come into contact with using painter??s tape. An all-purpose solvent should be applied on the mixer using a scrubber to get rid of unwanted coatings. Sand off the gloss using a sanding block and get rid of the remaining debris using a spray. Apply the paint gently allowing every area to dry naturally. The last step is to apply the protective finish and wait for some days for it to dry, and then reassemble.
