Freeze Your Leftover Green Onions in a Water Bottle

When you buy a bunch (pun intended) of green onions, it’s almost inevitable you will end up with more than you need which ends up in food waste. Plus, once you’ve done your magic, what is one to do with leftover scallions? Either they’re tossed out, or they end up in the refrigerator, forgotten and spoiled. Lifehacker found a method from The One Pot Chef that will solve your green onion problem. A super easy trick, you can save your spring onions in a super convenient way. All you need to do is chop up your green onions, and place the little chunks into an empty, plastic water bottle. The best part about it is, you simply shake out what you need, and your onion bits will thaw in seconds.
