Freeze Aloe Vera into Ice Cubes to Soothe Sunburns

Perhaps you’re working on an outdoor air conditioner and forgot to slather on the sunscreen. Uh oh, before you know it, you just got an uncomfortable sunburn. While most everyone knows aloe vera is a great remedy to soothe irritated, sunburnt skin, let’s take it up a notch. Why not freeze the stuff into ice cubes for a cooling sensation? It’s an easy process that will help produce comforting effects on irritated skin. All you need is an ice cube tray, pure aloe vera gel, your freezer, and some water. Got it? Good. As for the aloe vera gel, you’ll want to make sure you have 100% purity—or else it may not freeze as it should due to other interfering ingredients. You can usually grab pure gel from your local health or natural foods store. If you feel so inclined, you can obtain the aloe directly from the plant as well. Next, fill up your ice cube tray with the aloe, and mix in a little bit of water. Pop your ice cube tray in the freezer, and allow it to sit overnight. You just got yourself a home frozen remedy for that pesky sunburn. If you don’t want to mess around with making aloe cubes, grab yourself some aloe vera lotion, and toss it in the refrigerator for a chilly effect. Nonetheless, it’s a different approach to undertake that pesky sunburn.
