Crock-pot, slow cooker, whichever you’d like to call it, is awesome for soups, sauces, casseroles, and more. Including bread. This handy small kitchen appliance bakes fresh bread without you even having to go through the hassle of preheating and turning on your oven. Whip up some bread dough (pre-made is fine, too), set it in your slow cooker lined with parchment paper, and turn it on the highest setting. You don’t even have to let your dough rise as that crock-pot takes care of the baking and rising all at the same time. The Kitchn recommends having a trial-and-error loaf to begin with as cooking times may vary from 1 - 2.5 hours depending on the size and rising temps of your slow cooker. Crock-pot bread tends to have a soft, springy crust. If you’re looking for something a little crustier, you can pop your loaf in the oven for a few minutes under the broiler.
