Vacuuming your home on a regular basis is certainly one of the most important parts of home maintenance. We don’t always vacuum to the best possible level, which tends to let dust keep building up and can be harmful to our health. Here are a few tips on how you can do a better job of vacuuming your house.
Check the Bag
Checking the vacuum bag and changing it often is crucial. Don’t wait for the bag to be full. Much before the bag is full, the dust and particles within it will decrease the suction of your vacuum cleaner, which will in turn lower the productivity of the vacuuming process. Change the bag when it is about 70% full.
Round and Round You Go
Don’t just make one single pass around your rooms and feel like you have cleaned it all up. The first go around will likely leave behind quite a few particles and multiple passes will make sure you get all the dust and really leave behind some surfaces you can eat off.
Pick Your Extension
When vacuuming I am usually tempted to just go all over the place with a single extension, but the reality is every extension has a purpose and you should really switch. Check your vacuum cleaner's manual for proper extension use instructions.
With taking care of all of these you should end up with very clean floors and healthy living environment.
