2 Things to Roast & Toast in a Popcorn Popper (Besides Popcorn)

Who knew a popcorn popper could be more useful than popping just popcorn? That’s right. You can roast your very own green coffee beans to perfection with this underestimated little appliance. Oh, and the toasting part? It can also toast nuts to a beautiful golden brown. It’s time to blow off the dust, and bust the thing out. Grab yourself up about a 1/2-cup of green coffee beans and toss them in the popper. Turn it on, and wait it out for about 10 minutes or so depending on the type of roast you’re going for. Allow your beans to cool for a complete 24 hours, grind those guys up, and you have delicious roasted coffee you can’t believe you did yourself. Now, if you’re feeling a little nutty, grab up some shelled nuts—about 1/4 cup, and dump ‘em in the popcorn popper. Turn the magic on, and allow the nuts to toast for 1-2 minutes until they turn a light brown. Roasty, toasty goodness in a matter of minutes (without turning on your oven).
