Organization is one of the many keys to success, especially in the kitchen. There never seems to be enough storage! Thankfully, a simple pegboard will save the day, and is great for a small weekend project. We really love the DIY pegboard tool hanger, and cannot get enough of a kitchen pegboard for your cookware. Where do you store all of your pots and pans? If you have a small kitchen or lack storage space, a kitchen wall organizer may just be the solution you have been looking for.
Emma, co-blogger from A Beautiful Mess, made a kitchen pegboard to free up her cabinetry space for more important things—like canned goods and groceries. She chose to hang her pegboard on the wall in her living room; you can mount your pegboard as a fun backsplash or even adjacent to your stove, depending on your kitchen setup. Emma bought two pegboards, bracing wood and installed them onto her wall. You will want to make sure you use long screws and find the studs when mounting your bracing wood since you will be installing the pegboards on the frame you just made. Then, all you have to do is grab up some hooks and start hanging your pots, pans and more. It’s really that easy and not too terribly expensive. The best thing about this project is you can paint it whatever color you wish (do this before you hang up your boards). There are a ton of cool pegboard kitchen displays painted with bright funky colors. We can’t get enough! We especially love how Emma traced her pots and pans with a white paint marker—adding a modern twist and dimension to her look. Your creative possibilities are endless.
