Glass cooktops or stovetops— whichever you may call them, sure do get messy. Perhaps you took our advice to cook more in the kitchen; well, of course we need to follow up with a simple cleaning regime and not anything less, especially for you glass toppers out there. Whether you’re a pro at boil-overs, or allow those caked-on food bits to hang out on your stovetop for a while (it’s ok, we all do that sometimes), we have an easy and natural solution for you.
It’s easy to get caught up in commercial cleaners, but you wanna know a secret? Good ole fashioned and simple ingredients are the best to use. Why? Many simple ingredients are non-toxic to you, your environment and are super cheap. How can you go wrong with that? Well, to be honest, you can’t. We’ve discussed cleaning off stubborn oil droplets, but what about filthy glass tops?
Here’s What You Need: 2 microfiber cloths Baking Soda Vinegar and a bowl with warm water You will want to lightly sprinkle some baking soda onto your glass range top, and pour a little bit of vinegar onto the baking soda—making a paste. Swirl this paste around, and allow it to sit for about 10-15 minutes…you may need to do this longer depending on how dirty your cooktop is. Next, dip a microfiber cloth in warm water, wring it out, and scrub your stovetop in small, circular motions. Once you have put some elbow grease into it, begin cleaning off the baking soda and vinegar paste by rinsing and wringing out your cloth in the bowl. Now is the shining time. Use your second and unused microfiber cloth to buffer, and dry your glass cooktop for supreme shiny results. It’s really that simple, and actually works.
